    The Solid State Drive is where permanent data is stored - applications, documents, etc. The larger the drive, the more data that can be stored. If you are storing large amounts of pictures, music and/or movies, a large capacity drive is recommended.
    
    Solid State Drives (SSD) can be used in place of the typical spinning hard disk drive found in most PCs. Faster and more durable, the SSD provides a rapid boot-up and quicker access to applications than a typical standard hard drive. Plus, without any moving parts, the SSD offers a more durable storage solution less prone to physical damage, such as scratches, which can occur in hard drives.
    
    RAID, or Redundant Arrays of Independent Discs, is a technology that coordinates between the two solid state drives to keep them operating simultaneously at optimal capacity. The result is quicker boot-up times, faster application launches and overall enhanced performance.
