TPM provides secure information management and enhanced business protection. TPM is built into a computer to store cryptographic information, such as encryption keys. 100% disappointment Got his unit and OMH I am so disappointed! Upon arrival I created the restore disks (I thought I was smart). In one week, computer stopped working; I was thinking it was a PC, but seems like that Windows8 wasn't loading well. I used my restore CD's and, miracle, I was able to recover PC back to normal. In another week, it happened again! I suspected that HDD is defective, and just bought 500GB SSD drive. I connected SSD and used recovery disks -- well, first time process stopped on 60%, another time on 75% (I was waiting for one whole day!) Sometimes PC would hang with the blank screen an I would have to turn it off with the power key. And so fourth. PS - I have MS in Information Systems and computers are my life. Previously Sony offered mostly solid products... But now, I will return this product and stay away from Sony laptops from now on. It has been 4 days and I can't make it work. February 21, 2013

Very nice but no virtualization support This machine is fast and light. The screen is very clear and if you buy the sheet battery, the battery life is amazing. The fan is a little noisy when the CPU is busy. If you are looking to run VMWare or other virtualization software you may need to look elsewhere. Despite having the right processor and chip set, the Intel virtualization extensions are not available. Other than that, it's a really nice machine. March 25, 2012
