powerful yet portable
I have been a loyal Sony customers (have bought four laptops for the past five years for my family). The F series with Core i7 processor is one of the most reliable and powerful laptop computers. In terms of computation speed, it closely matches the Dell Precision T1500 workstation I use at work. I like the Core i7 processor very much. It is pleased to see eight hyper threads work simultaneously when doing multi-thread computing. I have had a Sony F series laptop (VPCF1) computer for two years. It works well for my work (development of CAD system at Intergraph) and HD home video editing. One thing I do not like this computer is the blackbody that can be easily spoiled by finger prints.

It is okay.
The webcam on this thing is worse than a cell phone camera. It looks like I'm recording with a calculator. Other than that, the computer is alright. Its quick to start up, and vents off less heat than other laptops I've been using. It's got a unique design. I recommend this laptop if you want to have the name "Vaio" on your laptop or you're just a sony fan like me.

Powerful and Beautiful
I've chosen this notebook because of his design that is really beautiful and because of his specifications and for the good cost/benefit, but his design have a big problem, it scratches too easily what makes him looks older even i put him directly in his case after using.

Sony VAIO
I have had many many issues with my Sony after buying it. I even had to reformat my computer only after 2 months of owning it. It runs very slow for having such good components. The bluray player works well and the screen does look very nice! I wouldn't bother paying for these features, this model will just fail you.
