No bang for the buck
I purchased this so called high end smart TV a year ago. So far there does not seem to be anything smart about it. Its just a overpriced TV. Picture quality is same as any other smart TV on the market.
One of the main reasons I had invested in this high end internet upgradable model was that the TV can upgrade without me shelling thousands of dollars every year to keep up.
There is no way to verify without logging into the site to confirm if you are running the latest firmware or not. TV does not support basic functions like skype or any video calling feature.
I would recommend people to save their money and go for samsung or panasonic which seem to be cheaper and support way more aps.
Looks like Sony's best days are behind it.

Big Picture, Tiny Sound
I recently purchased this TV from big box club store at a great price to replace my Sony 55" SXRD LCD rear projection which was ailing from burned out bulb, failing cooling fans, and non working HDMI board.... I have been a pretty loyal Sony buyer so I couldn't pass up the NX810 at this price.
Brought it home and was easy to setup, picture was incredible, but sound was terrible!! (more about the sound later). Had the set less than three days and then turn on and noticed a dark spot near top edge then ..... set turned off and got 6 red blinking lights. I chalked this up to infant mortality and returned to store for replacement. New set has been working great and I continue to be amazed by picture quality, brightness, true black, etc. Did have a hard time troubleshooting as set has virtually no manual....ironically is onboard TV which when TV won't come on is moot point. (Bring back the printed manual and forget the green initiative)
Biggest downer is the sound!! Maybe I was spoiled from my SXRD, maybe I didn't set the NX810 up right. Neither, the sound is just down right terrible! The TV aethestics are great and it looks great in my room, so I can appreciate the challenge of packaging all this is a relatively small set, however I feel Sony could have done better in the sound department. Instead it seems they planned to cross sell some audio equipment, like soundbars and surround systems (which I am looking at now).
In summary, I really like to picture, the ease of use, and all the extras on board. TV works flawlessly with all my hookups, DVR, BD Player, and multiple gaming systems. Again, the sound is the biggest let down and if you plan to but this set, plan on buying or using an add on sound system.

Poor Quality
I bought the tv in December and I have a verticle green line on the right side. It is still covered under warranty, but I asked the repair service how much it would have cost to fix and he said 2-3 times the value of the tv! This should not hapen in less than one year of owning it.

Best Bang for the Bucks
I looked at dozens of TV's for 2 or 3 times the money. Found this one on sale and it has all of the same features as the high end models with a price tag of mid range models. I am not fond of the automated setup programs but this one will let you stop and manually configure what you need, The Wi Fi was super simple to set up and get working in 2 minutes. All of the Apps worked first try. It's thinner, smaller physical size with a bigger picture and has all of the important feature of high end TVs for about 1/2 the cost. Now to see how long it will last. But if it's like the majority of my other Sony products, I have a long time to enjoy it!
