Excellent Laptop, Great For Students
I have had this computer for about a week, and I have gotten very comfortable with it. I tested multiple other computers, but I really liked the EA Vaio. The keyboard is great to type on, it is firm but easy to press on the keys. The trackpad isn't smooth, it has hundreds of bumps, but is very pleasant because it takes away a little sensitivity; no more pointers flying across the screen due to a slipped finger. I dislike that the computer doesn't have an LED keyboard, but I know the keyboard well, so I don't look at it, but this feature is available on other laptops as an upgrade for only $20, so Sony should incorporate it into the EA. I previously had an iMac all in one, using OS X. The change is easy, all platforms are almost the same now, but Windows allows transfers of files from place to place, and manipulation of pictures and things much easier than my mac. I customized mine, Intel i5, 4GB ram, 500 GB hard drive at 7200 rpm, Radeon graphics card, Blu-Ray read and write, and a few others. I chose this laptop over a Macbook Pro because for an equally equipped mac, I was quoted at $2400, and my Vaio was just under $1100. In conclusion, this is a great choice because it has features like Blu-ray that aren't even available on macs. Pricing is great, and they are very well built. I would highly recommend it to others.

Great Laptop!
I've only had this laptop a couple of days, but I'm completely satisfied with it. The i3 Processor is able to handle my gaming (mid-range) & My school work.
Set-up was a breeze. Although this is my very first laptop I had no issues with getting it up and running. I was also surprised to see Google Chrome come pre-installed. I myself happen to be a mozilla fan, but after trying Chrome, I see no reaosn to download Mozilla. The Vasi Gate also is a great feature I found when I turned on my laptop. It's aa little dock where you can drag & drop your favorite programs that you use. I use it to keep my home screen from becoming cluttered (And from obstructing the view of your background). I even find the 14" screen to be a good size. I initially wanted the 15.5" model but if I hadn't read 14' on the box, I never would've known. I also havn't had any problems with WIindows 7 thus far (fingers crossed!)
I have run into a few problems, however. For one the power button is in a really weird spot, and is often hit whenever I'm not paying attention. Luckily you can set it up where if you press the power button nothing happens! But you will have to manually click "Shut-down" on the window screen. The assist button is also a very handy feature for whenever your laptop is having problems.
This was my very first Sony Vaio purchase, and they may have made me a life-long fan.
