Do Not Recommend Purchase I used this computer 3+ months when hard drive failed 1st time. It took 2 weeks and 6 hours of phone support to repair. New drive worked well for 2 weeks and is failing again. Was told by support another 2 weeks to repair. One month without fully functioning laptop is untenable for business professional. One Impressive Machine I have owned my Z Series since April and I think that this is a truly great computer. I have always been with Compaq before Vaio and really enjoyed those computers. The Z really is impressive in comparison. This processor is extremely fast and the multitasking is incredible. The battery life is good, too. I especially like the extreme amount of power in an ultra-portable laptop. I love the size and weight, which is extremely light. I was also looking an getting a Vaio X, but the Z turned out to be a better buy because it was slightly larger and weighed a tad bit more. Plus, the power that you get with this computer is unbelieveable. The only downsides to the Z are its high price tag and it's tough to ready the screen at times compared to my old 15 inch computer. However, if you plan on have a laptop for awhile, I think the value is good. August 3, 2010
Awesome laptop The keyboard is a dream to type on. The touchpad is very responsive. The screen is awesome, no eyestrain at all even after hours of use. The fan noise is almost non existant. Performs like a desktop and comes in the size of a netbook. The only drawback is the proprietary SSD. Would have liked the use of standard disk sizes. This would have come in handy for future upgrades, hence took a star off for design. Love the laptop a lot. Worth every dollar. Blows every other wannabe ultra portables out of the water.
