Very nice!
Hello guys!
I bought this wonderful TV this week.
Before I bought it I also read some reviews here...
Everybody is very happy with it,
I'm also very happy with it,
except for one thing..
The sound quality.
I bought this TV, almost only to play on my PS3 on it.
When I'm playing COD Black Ops for example,
the graphics, sharpness, quality, ... is 100000% great!
BUT the sound quality really sucks :(.
I'm happy I have a home cinema system, so I don't have to hear the sound.
It's the only negative point about this TV.
It has a very nice design, nice materials, nice functions, ...
I can really recommend this one!!!! :)

Best TV around
This is the most beautiful television I have found. XBRs are the best TVs around. The glass panel is easy to clean and durable instead of plastic-like materials found on other "high-end" TVs. The edges are coated with a "steel" like material and it is very thin (not as thin as a samsung but thin enough to impress anyone).
The image is astounding given you have the right equipment. I play it with a 7.1 home theater through a Sony BDP-5000ES Blu-ray player and a STR-DA5600ES AV receiver.If you are going to pay for this TV, you MUST acquire the ES accessories from Sony to squeeze everything this TV has to offer.
The 3D image is run through my PS3 and it is still beautiful. A big plus is that you get two 3D glasses with this TV (retailing for about $150 each!). I have not done much research about 3D on different TVs because there are very limited titles for 3D movies and I think 99% of a TV qualities should be judged according to the 2D 1080p image.
Hands down, the best television around.

OK TV for outrages price.
I promised myself not to buy Sony stuff anymore for various reasons, but maybe because my old 12 years old CRT TV was from Sony, the first website I visited was actually Sony?s. Usually I do tons of research before I buy anything, not to mention expensive stuff, as I always try to go for most expensive things that I can afford. This time I didn?t even look further, but I should have.
Because I cannot compare this TV to others (my first HD LCD TV) I will only mention things that I have noticed during few months of owning it. First of all this TV is super expensive and as such I would expect absolutely the best from it. Unfortunately it?s not the case. Setup and installation was very easy. I didn?t even need the manual.
Blu-ray picture quality is excellent. HD cable, especially Science and Discovery Channels is also nice. Only I wish I didn?t see pixilation which is NOT TV?s fault but cable's.
Sound coming from the TV is a joke. It is very weak and there is no bass at all. I understand that most of users would hook it up to a receiver; however for this price sound should be much, much better. What I only like about it, how linear volume is, so adjusting it to your likings is very precise. My old Sony at 10% and 100% volume would sound the same.
3D simulation on ?high? setting is decent. It creates some illusion of spaciousness but screen flickering is just too much. Real 3D is awesome but flickering is also noticeable. Shouldn?t each eye get at least 120Hz to get rid of flicker if the TV is 480Hz? 3D effect is not as great as in a movie theater, but that has to do with screen size difference. I guess. Motion flow PRO creates soap opera like effect. I?m not crazy about it.
Many power savings options, but they work mysteriously. My kids were watching something and the TV turned off due to ?inactivity?. That face detection either work not so well or it was too dark in my basement. By the way; I wonder if anybody already tried to hack into the TV and spy on people. Think about it. It is connected to the internet and has a camera for face detection. Lastly remote control is very nice but it is not glitch free. I love how it is curved and has tiny ?legs?, no battery cover just the whole thing slides open and has an extra big power on/off button on the back. What is really dumb about it that backlit outlines buttons, but not captions on them, so you have to memorize what each key does. Backlit was a great idea but execution was soooo poor. For this price range there should have been no glitches whatsoever. I?m glad I got 4 years of free financing. I won?t even feel paying this TV off.

The best $1480 investment I've ever spent
I can't complain much since I bought it for dirt cheap from frys when they had it on sale. I didn't want to spent over $1500 on a TV and this TV was in my budget range. Be aware to spend more money on surge protector. Don't cheap out on a $50 surge protector and spend that little more money to protect your investment (panamax 5300-pm).
