nice laptop but not for me i bought this laptop before i start my school, my last laptop was Hp and i was very satisfied with it, i wanted to try a different brand name so i chose Sony, i liked this laptop so much it got a very nice design and colors (i got the coconut white which is actually close to light grey), the performance is very good for using at home or small office (i got the minimum i3 processor) but i prefer to upgrade to the i5, the only thing that i didn't like about this laptop is the quality, i received it and there is a noise coming from the hitch of the screen every time i open the screen or try to move it from one place to another, and the plastic of the overall laptop not as strong as i expect, especially when i compared it to my old hp laptop which it was very strong machine, and weak laptops will not work with my use at home what about using it at school, so i returned the Sony after 3 days and purchased another strong hp, added 20 bucks more than Sony's price and got a lot of upgrades, but overall the Sony is good and a very nice design laptop with a good performance and if you don't move the laptop a lot then its good for you. Great Laptop (: This laptop has been a great purchase that I've ever made. This is my first Vaio and won't be my last. I have always bought HP series and decided to switch. I am very happy I switched to Sony, knowing that all their products are wonderful (having 2 cameras, LCD's, and a PS3), I knew they would not fail. The price was a bit high (around $1700), but I added additional components. A great upgrade choice! I've had my VPCEB for a little over a month now, so I feel I can give a complete review. It is much quieter and faster than my IBM Thinkpad which is now 5 yrs old. The keypad is great; the resolution super! Sure HD would be a nice option, but I didn't need it. The overall feel is solid and a reasonable weight. The off-set keyboard is okay since it includes the numeric keypad. But the touch-pad being so offset is uncomfortable. I am right-handed so I have to reach over to my left with my right hand to use the touch-pad. I like the feel of the touch-pad, but it is kind of touchy. It would be better if the screen was closer to square shape rather than a rectangle. It tends to stretch some pages I pull up. Overall it's an excellent upgrade! May 18, 2010
