When it’s time to play back video, simply search for what you want by selecting from among the detected faces displayed in the index.

Power on your camcorder by simply opening the LCD display.

Direct connection with DVD burner (sold separately)

The DCR-SR68 supports a direct connection with the VRD-P1 DVD burner (sold separately), which allows you to burn DVDs directly from your camcorder without the need for a PC. And because the VRD-P1 is powered by your camcorder, you don't need an additional AC power cable.

One Touch Disc Burn

Easily burn a DVD copy of your footage using the supplied PMB (Picture Motion Browser) software⁹. Simply connect the camcorder to your compatible PC via a USB cable and press the One Touch Disc Burn Button.¹²

Direct Copy to external HDD w/o PC¹⁰

Your camcorder can also access videos stored on the external hard drive for playback on your HDTV, allowing you to utilize the camcorder’s handy playback features.

Hybrid Recording to HDD or Removable flash media

Hybrid recording technology delivers a new level of flexibility of capturing and transferring your video footage and digital photos from the camcorder to compatible viewing devices. Record to 80GB¹ hard disk drive or choose instead to record to removable flash media (sold separately). You can even select from various dubbing functions to easily copy video or still images from the HDD to the removable flash media -- without using a PC.

Excellent product for the price I bought this Handycam for recording my sons sporting events, family events and other special occassions. Had the Handycam for about 1 month or less easy to used and a lot of great features. You must buy additional battery packs so you don't miss important videos or pictures. Do not buy the supplied battery NP 30 as an extra would be a wasted of money. Once again overall a great purchased for $242.99 way below list price of $329.99. April 8, 2012

Reconsider I bought the camera 2 years ago and may i say worst mistake ever. The video quality is choppy and barely works at a good angle. When you burn the file onto a dvd the video is small. February 10, 2012

The Camera that needs glasses My 6 year old Canon camera doesn't have the same features, but boy can it take great videos and pictures! When I take videos or pictures with the Canon I can count the hairs on my head from 6 feet away. Its clear, crisp and sharp. With the Sony its very grainy, no sharpness at all. Its terrible! I can see my head but certainly cant count the hairs! I ran a split screen on my computer showing the same video from both the cameras and there is no comparison. The Sony is terrible! The Canon does not have half the specs. of the Sony but the Canon's pictures and videos are superb. I honestly wouldn't buy this model for $50! This is the most expensive camera I have ever bought and this is the most disappointed I have ever been! It gets: "thumbs down!!" January 1, 2012

Worthless I'm completely disgusted by this camcorder. When a cell phone camera takes better pictures and videos then a Sony camcorder there is a problem!! Don't buy! March 13, 2011
