Great idea, poor technical excecution.... I really liked the idea of a remote electronics box to reduce the size and weight of the display. However, why would you design a "line of sight" IR interface when a RF/WIFI interface allows you to place the box virtually anywhere in the house ? This IR interface severely limits the placing of the "box" rendering the remote box concept almost useless ! In order to get maximun connectivity, you would need to place the box directly in front of the TV ! Clearly cost should not have been an issue given the premium charged for these TV's. Sorry Sony, but you missed the boat on this one. I returned my unit after a week :( April 4, 2010

GREAT TV The people in the other reviews must not own this tv. The wireless streaming is great. I have the box placed out of the install guide range, and it works fine. My box is facing 90 degrees from the screen, and there are no problems whatsoever. Only cons... high price. I had to hook up a LAN cable to get it to work with my internet as it couldn't detect my wireless dsl. The picture is good, but still not as good as my 7 yr old sony 34xbr910 crt... kind of a let down that technology isn't better today. February 8, 2010

Absolute Junk I was so hopeful for this product. Sadly to say the wireless broadcast to the screen is extremely unreliable. The other failure was to go to the glossy screen which is unwatchable unless you live in a cave. Some may indicate to use blinds but that is unpractical for many solutions and besides most we like to see outside. Please Sony try again and go back to the matte finish. We already have enough mirrors in the house. February 8, 2010

XBR10 BEST AND WORST I love this TV! And I hate this TV! So disappointed that the signal waivers if the media unit is not exactly placed in the narrow bandwidth area. I place the monitor on my media cabinet with the wireless unit stacked underneath and the signal is shoddy. When it's great, it's great, but then get spikes across the screen randomly. Sound qlty mediocre. Wish there were a hard-wire option. January 26, 2010
