Good Buy
This is a very good product that i got from my grandma. I was expecting and i-pod but this is a great replacement and its not as pricey either. I love this thing! The only problem i have is the fact that it doesnt come with a wall charger. In my opinion all MP3's or I-Pod's should come with a wall charger. And i dont know if its just my laptop but sometimes it over sync or knocks off songs. But i guess it does that when it wants to adjust to the computer.

I love my new PM3 player
I love my Sony S Series. it's awesome, I got the pink one so it's just my style, and it has amazing sound to it. This is my second Sony Walkman MP3 player. I have always had Sony walkmen. from the tapes to CDs to these. I love them all.

Nice features for price
I was looking for a single device to replace seperate MP3 player, mini-FM tuner and a portable DVD player for my daughter. She had got to the point of needing a seperate bag for all her electronics when we traveled. She likes to listen to music and watch short video clips.
With the 8GB version, she can load up more than enough CD's to keep her going and with the FM tuner she can listen to off-the-air music as well. We haven't loaded any videos yet but one thing that sold me on this unit was the sharpness of the sample video and the clarity of the internal speakers. It is large enough to see well but still small enough to fit in your pocket. We looked at other brands and models and many of them did not have the HOLD switch to prevent undesired button pushes. The Walkman does have this which is a highly desired feature. The menuing system is easy to understand and easily managed with one hand. Size and weight are optimal, not being to small or light nor too big or heavy for your pocket or armband. The FM tuner is sensitive enough to pick up our limited number of local stations, some low power, with full FM signal threshold detection without background hiss or noise.
It would have been nice to have a AC wall charger to allow the device to be charged without having to use the computer USB port just for charging. I have an external AC wall power block that the USB cable can plug into so the problem was overcome easily. Also the ability for the user to replace the battery (once it reaches it lifetime max charging or a spare when on the road) would have been nice but would probably had made the unit a little larger. As is the size is very optimal.
So far it looks like a winner. I got hers at Best Buy and it made her a very happy girl on her 15th birthday.
