Marriage of Walkman and Cybershot Rocks
Use ATT network in central pennsylvania and wanted a high end sony ericsson. had the c905a but no wifi, threaded messaging, or high quality sound features. I recomend this phone to anyone on the ATT network! I have used all the brands and Sony Ericsson deliverys with excellent call quality, reception, and reliability! I have had the z750a, w760a, g705, and w518a. glad sony added the brushed aluminum! ATT is working on 3g 7.2 and this phone is compatible on it! While other companies pop out phones left and right sony ericsson seems to make phones that will last with high quality. i will never go back to verizon because sony ericsson's are for gsm only! the world wide technology!

expansive piece of junk
camera lighting is poor dispite 8 megapixal, don't let the numbers fool you. the browser is so hard to use without touch screen. not worth the price. Every sony phone released in the states is like half a year behind the rest of the world like the x1a and satio this year. w995a is the last phone I'll buy from sony. sony doesn't really value America market and only release old stuff in the states.

Awesome Phone
The W995 is an awesome all on one device. I like the size of the phone (very small and light) and the quality of the video and picture content is bright and crisp. The 8.1 megapixel camera is easy to use, my friends actually thought it was a camera not a phone when taking pictures. The picture quality is incredible. Sharing photo's from my W995 with my Sony Bravia TV is a piece of cake, I'm able to view all the pictures on my W995 with my TV since both devices are connected to my home network. I recommend using MediaGo if you plan on importing videos and music because the W995 does not support all codecs, MediaGo will convert the file so the files play perfectl. The stand on the W995 is convenient for watching videos. I also enjoy the ability to make any music file on the phone a ringtone.

Great phone!!!
I've owned the W995 for about a month and a half. I got it to replace my Xperia X1 which was less than exciting. The 8MP camera is very impressive. It takes good high resolution pictures especially in bright light. I havent used the walkman feature because I have an iPod. I bought the phone mainly for it's 8MP camera and I am not disappointed. The sliding mechanism has a very positive smooth feel. The accelerometer works flawlessly every time. The look and feel of the brushed metal face plate is top quality. The key pad is on the small side, so I recommend checking out the phone in person before buying. I wish we had the silver version too. I would've been back to purchase that color too.
