3.2 Megapixel camera

Capture high quality photos using the 3.2 Megapixel camera. In fact, you can use the W705a camera just like you would a stand-alone camera - holding it horizontally with the screen acting as your viewfinder. The 3.2 megapixel camera features 3.2x digital zoom, Photo light, and auto rotation of pictures (for switching between portrait and landscape orientations). To help improve picture quality, the camera also includes 4 shooting modes, including Panorama and Night mode as well as Photo fix, which helps improve under-exposed photos.

Google Maps™ for mobile¹⁶

The Google Maps™ for mobile software¹⁶ comes preloaded with support for cell-id on W705a. View locations and calculate routes from your phone³.

FM Radio⁹

There is music in the air - just tune in and enjoy. The W705a has a built-in stereo FM radio with presets, auto search and manual search. The included handsfree headset is used as an antenna and is required to operate the FM radio.

The 3rd generation of mobile phone communications, 3G represents a significant improvement in data transfer and download speeds over EDGE, the previous generation¹⁵. Video camera

The camera on W705a captures video recordings and saves them to the phone or the included memory card. Video clips can be shared with friends and family via MMS⁷, email³ or other compatible transfer methods such as Bluetooth® wireless technology⁵.

Utilize the built-in email client with inbox, outbox, compose/send and other functions for your email needs³. W705a supports POP3 and IMAP4 protocols and offers message management, including user selectable inbox size, the ability to save messages to Memory Stick Micro™ media (included), and the option to arrange messages by date, size and email address.

Flight Mode

Flight mode allows the phone to turn on with all of the phone radio transceivers inactive. While in flight mode certain functions such as games, the calendar and the music player are available. Bluetooth® wireless technology⁵ is available in Flight mode.
