W705a is 3G enabled for tri-band HSPA (850/1900/2100 MHz). Please check with your preferred carrier for 3G service plans, frequency band requirements and to obtain 3G enabled SIM cards15.

W705a supports POP3 and IMAP4 protocols and offers message management, including user selectable inbox size, the ability to save messages to Memory Stick Micro™ media (included), and the option to arrange messages by date, size and email address.
Flight mode allows the phone to turn on with all of the phone radio transceivers inactive. While in flight mode certain functions such as games, the calendar and the music player are available. Bluetooth® wireless technology5 is available in Flight mode.
