ONE OF THE BEST ONES THIS LCD IS ONE OF THE BEST TELEVISIONS I PURCHASED IN MY LIFE. I BOUGHT THE S SERIES ONE AND IT BLOWS IT AWAY. THE SOUND ON THIS LCD IS AWESOME. I HAVE IT IN MY ROOM, IT'S NOT THAT BIG, BUT IT'S PERFECT FOR IT. IN MY OPINION IT'S NOT TOO BIG, IT'S NOT TOO SMALL. THE PICTURE QUALITY IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND CLEAR LIKE I'M THE DIRECTOR AND FILMING THE MOVIES. THIS IS A GREAT LCD. VERY SATISFIED. June 7, 2009

hate to see it go great to look at and great to watch. i spent weeks reviewing specs on sony tv's but by the time i picked out the xbr7 it was discontinued. best buy had the floor model and gave it to me for $845.00. it started giving me problems on month 17, left side of the tv stays dark, blurry and images go in slow motion. thankful for the 18 month warranty. my only regret is that when sony replaces it next week the same model is not available January 26, 2011

Awesome TV The 40 XBR7 is an outstanding tv. I've owned it for over a month now and everytime I turn it on the picture still amazes me. This tv has so many high tech gadgets in it and I still haven't played with them all. If you're looking for a long lasting/trouble free purchase I would "HIGHLY" reccomend this. Don't think twice about it, buy it NOW!!! April 25, 2009

Breathtaking! We have a XBR2 52" in our home which we love and could not imagine a better set. However, with the addition of this XBR7 to our den, I can see the improvements. Mind you, it's like "gilding the lily" as the XBR2 is so good already, but with the XBR7 the blacks are deeper, the contrast is better, the color range seems improved, and at 40" as opposed to our 52", the resolution seems better(although it is the same res, at 52" it's got to go bigger) The design is very good as well, it looks expensive (which it is) but worth it for sure! BTW, I am a professional photographer and have a very keen eye for these things, and this set makes me happy everytime I turn it on! Thank you Sony!! January 28, 2009
