Ultra-slim design

The DSC-T700 packs a lot of performance into an ultra-slim design. Measuring just over 5/8” (16.4mm), the DSC-T700 is slim enough to slip into a pocket, so you can take it with you wherever you go.

Smile Shutter™ technology

The popular Smile Shutter™ technology automatically detects and captures smiling faces. Simply choose the Smiley Face feature and the camera will capture a smile the moment it happens. You can also select subject priority (Adult or Child Priority or touch subject on screen) and indicate the degree of Smile Detection Sensitivity to high (small smile), medium (laugh) or low (grin).

High Sensitivity ISO 3200

High ISO allows for faster shutter speed, so you can take pictures indoors or in low light without the need for a flash. In addition to High Sensitivity Mode (ISO), you can select up to eight ISO settings (Auto, 80, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200) when shooting in Program Auto Mode to adjust sensitivity to your shooting conditions.

Anti-blink Function

It's frustrating to think you've captured that perfect shot, only to review it later and discover one of your subjects blinked just as you pressed the shutter. The new Anti-blink function works to help counter blinking and squinting. When the camera is set to Portrait Mode, the Anti-blink function captures two images, recording only the photo with less squinting. If a blink is detected in other shooting modes, a warning will be displayed after you take the shot.

MPEG Movie VX Fine Mode

Capture VGA (640 x 480) audio/video clips at a high frame rate (up to 30 frames per second⁹). The maximum length of time you can shoot continuously is approximately 10 minutes.

Burst Mode

You can fire up to 100 shots at approximately .62 second intervals (at any resolution; VGA to high resolution mode).

16:9 High Resolution Mode

Using the 16:9 High Resolution Mode, you can record high resolution images in the 16:9 aspect ratio favored by HDTVs. This setting is ideal if you plan to view your images on a compatible HDTV and invite friends and family members over for a slideshow.

Stamina® Battery Power

Picture Motion Browser (PMB) ver. 3.2

Sony® Picture Motion Browser (PMB) software provides a simple, easy-to-use way to transfer video and still images to your PC, as well as sort, edit, and output to data disc and the Web. Additionally, the Easy Exporter function makes it easy to take your images with you by exporting smaller copies of your imported images back to your camera. The smaller file size means you can fit more pictures in your pocket, while the original, full-size image remains safe on your PC⁴.

Great camera! This camera is amazing; it takes such great pictures and I just love it. Even without flash it takes wonderful pictures, which is a big improvement from my last camera. I was a bit iffy about buying a touch-screen camera at first; I worried that if it was bumped it would turn on or it would break easily. After using this camera all my worries are gone. The touch screen does not turn the power on (I guess this is a given for touch screens--this is my first touch screen device though so I'm not sure) and although all my other electronic devices are scratched up my camera isn't damaged a bit. My only complaint is the battery life. I would not recommend getting this camera if you are planning on taking it on trips where you will have to go for a long period of time without charging it; it WILL run out of battery. Fast. I'm planning on buying an extra battery soon and would recommend doing so as soon as you buy this camera. March 23, 2009

Christmas gif to Myself This camera is truly amazing. It has excellent memory, easy to use (once you get used to it), takes fantastic photos, very slim and can fit anywhere. The battery life isn't the best but it is worth the money. I used to have a Kodak, which was the easiest camera by far. But the options were limited and the color was horrible even when set at premium. Sony's color is rich and vibrant, looks like real life. Only thing I wish Sony offered were covers for the LCD touch screen to prevent any damage. Unless I'm missing that somewhere on the website? :) Also, the colors ARE darker than on the website. Go to your local Best Buy to check out what they look like, but buy online. January 6, 2009

Can't go wrong with sony I just purchased this camera and before this I owned the 1st series of the cybershot slim cameras when they 1st came out. My camera still works and has fallen in a tub full of water, fallen down flights of stairs and is still working. I have only purchased this new camera because my older one has a lower mega pixel. These cybershots are great cameras. You usually just cannot go wrong with sony products. January 3, 2009
