The 40" KDL-40V4100 flat panel HDTV brings 1080p picture quality home with amazing, Sony-exclusive features like the XMB (Xross Media Bar®) with 3D graphics, DMex capability so you can add functionality to your TV, and picture quality technologies like ACE (Advanced Contrast Enhancer) and BRAVIA Engine 2™ that make images come alive. Add to that a sophisticated, piano black design and 24p capability for getting the most out of Blu-ray Disc™ and DVD movies, and you have a television that exceeds your expectations. There are also four HDMI™ inputs and three other HD-capable connections, so there is ample room for expansion.

Best Value After days of research and hours spent combing the stores, I found the KDL-40v4100 to be the best value in features and performance. It has everything you need to truly enjoy watching TV again! The TV Guide menu is the icing on the cake! The system menus are easy to navigate, and the features are vast. The picture quality is outstanding! Overall, this is a superb TV. December 26, 2008

Lasted only 25 months, Great while lasted I have bought and remained rather loyal to the sony brand ( even though It typically cost 5-10% more) because their products to date have remained functional over time for me. That streak has just ended with the kdl-40v4100 flatscreen that only went for 25 months, of which one month is was not installed. They only warranty their products for one year so they must have less confidence in their quality than I should have had when I purchased the product. Unfortunately, the extended warranty of my credit card expired a month ago. Looks like I'll have to change my family's goto electronics company. June 27, 2010

Sony's Best 40" LCD I have 2 40" Sony LCD TV's . Exchanged them due to all the issues I saw online for Samsung. I love Sony LCD and the HDNA technology. They have done an awesome job with this TV. Sharp HDTV. The HD picture is INCREDIBLE. You have to buy one and the sound quality is GREAT !! May 2, 2009
