EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED
I BOUGHT THIS 1 1/2 YEARS AGO AND NOW IT WON'T CHARGE, CAN'T GET MY SONG OUT TO COPY . OR EVEN PLAY MY SONGS. EXPECTED IT TO LAST MORE THAN 1 1/2 YRS !!!!!!!!!! I'VE BOUGHT SONY PRODUCT ALL THE TIME, WILL CONSIDER AN OTHER PRODUCT NOW ! ! ! !

good player
over all the player is good very easy to use all its missing is few functions like changing the screen saver and deleting files from the player without having it connected to the computer or laptop.

Small, Red, Nice
Bought this unit from S'Style for a long air ride to SE Asia to listen to some music & downloaded radio & teaching programs. Was particularly interested in the noise cancel for 42-hrs in an airplane. (Done this trip a few times before.) The noise cancel works well, I think, and the amount of cancellation is adjustable. If the noise cancel introduces any audio artifacts, it's not noticeable because the background noise still intrudes slightly in an airplane or noisy environment. In a quiet environment, just swtich-off the noise cancel mode. Controls are easy & intuitive after 60-seconds of fiddling. Pretty interesting & customizable EQ settings. There's a notch in the phones jack & a tab on the earbuds plug that means you can't use the buds with a splitter (to, say, share the audio with your seatmate, as I'd planned to do). But you can buy 2 other bud sets at Walmart & go without the noise cancel when using the splitter. This unit works well in the car when plugged in to the front panel jack on the sound system (car radio). Pretty nifty package & price compared to iPod. (Bought a charger of the correct output at Walmart for wall-plug charging here & overseas with Sony stock supplied cable. Works good.)

VERY slow Rhapsody file transfer
The sound quality is FANTASTIC and is very pure. The noise cancelling headphones were great. I want to use this mp3 player for Rhapsody to Go. Unfortunately, the transfer times are absolutely ridiculous. I could have listened to the 4 playlists I transferred (approx 4 hours total of music) twice over in the time it took to transfer SOME of the music. I was gone to the gym for 2 hours and came back and only one song had transferred. I hope this is not another mp3 purchase down to the tubes....
