Be aware when buying - overheating problem I bought a PS3 3 years ago at a cost of $499. Recently it died of apparent overheating. Please read up on this problem before you buy. May want to consider insurance if reasonable. December 26, 2010
Best thing I ever bought! I got this when it first came out and was so pleased when i got it. The quality of the games and movies are AMAZING! Also the internet browser is extremely handy. DO NOT listen to people that say it over-heats! I have the first generation PS3, the one that 'supposedly' over-heated and broke. I had mine for 3 years now and that hast happened to me once. I left it on for two weeks straight (forgot to turn it off) and when i came home it was perfectly fine. The newer PS3's have even more coolers so there should be no worries at all! Another thing is its durability. I know it sounds dumb for an entertainment system but for those who are clumsy like me need to know! I dropped it AT LEAST 3-4 feet on the ground and it works perfectly! Under the outer shinny shell is a full metal protection case. I am really glad it was there too. The system is very customizable with the XMB (cross media bar) which allows you to change the back-round, edit internet connections, video/audio settings and easily and quickly get to what you want to find. I hope this review has help you on your choice. P.S The newer systems all have the same things they just have a different outer appearance and are a bit smaller. April 23, 2010
Best Purchas EVER!! I bought this console for my husband back when it first came out in 2007 it is know 2010. My husband and I use the Blue Ray feature ALOT! And play the video games like there is now tomorrow!! I also love the fact that I can get on the internet too! AWESOME!! February 20, 2010
PS3 Gone Bad I have a PS2 that's several years old. Still works, but i dedided to purchase a PS3. Why did I do that. I will have ot agree with another review I read. For the price of these systems, the warranty period should be extended. Another system that won't turn on. Not GOOD!!!!!!!!! Before I pay $150.00 to have my PS3 fixed, I will buy something else..
