7.2 Megapixel Super HAD™ CCD

More megapixels give you more detail and definition when you make big prints or crop in tight on your subject. The advanced Sony® Super HAD™ (Hole Accumulated Diode) CCD design allows more light to pass to each pixel, increasing sensitivity and reducing noise.

Stamina® Battery Power

With optional Sony NiMH rechargeable batteries, you can capture up to an amazing 460 shots2 -- shooting capacity that’s about the equivalent of 13 rolls of 35mm film. With supplied AA alkaline batteries, the DSC-S700 can capture up to 100 shots2.

Bright 2.4”1 LCD Screen

The DSC-S700 provides a bright LCD screen composing shots, checking results, sharing your photos on location and reading camera setup menus even in full sunlight.

Burst Mode

You can fire off three shots automatically at 1-second intervals (VGA standard mode) or 2-second intervals (7.2 MP mode) -- a great way to capture a child’s first steps or a pet’s best tricks.

High Sensitivity

Blury Pics Most pictures turn out blury despite movement (or lack of). Like that you can take b&w, sepia, etc but not worth it when the picture blurs. I don't even use the camera anymore as my phone takes better pictures. November 18, 2011

Slightly Blurry Images I just got this camera and even though its very compact and good for on-the-go, it takes blurry pictures. Some pictures are more blurry than others, and they even come out burry when I use the flash. March 10, 2011
just say NO This is the worst camera I have ever owned. The pictures are blurry and show every movement. I have even called Sony to see if there is a defect in the camera. Their solution was the reset the camera as if I just took it out of the box. Didn't work. Very disappointed they didn't stand behind it. October 7, 2009
