Reality Creation processing.

Ten years in the making, Sony's proprietary Reality Creation processing means that unlike most projectors that can only attempt at faithfully reproducing a 1080p signal, the VPL-HW50ES reproduces the original image prior to compression to achieve 1080p. Reality Creation works by analyzing each pixel, cross-referencing it to an internal database of images and patterns, then replacing the missing data resulting from compression. The result? A 1080p image that is clearer, sharper and more lifelike.

Recreate a more authentic cinematic experience with the capability to eliminate black bars during movies. The VPL-HW50ES supports anamorphic 2.35 when paired with an external lens.
