Reality Creation processing.

Ten years in the making, Sony's proprietary Reality Creation processing means that unlike most projectors that can only attempt at faithfully reproducing a 1080p signal, the VPL-HW50ES reproduces the original image prior to compression to achieve 1080p. Reality Creation works by analyzing each pixel, cross-referencing it to an internal database of images and patterns, then replacing the missing data resulting from compression. The result? A 1080p image that is clearer, sharper and more lifelike.

Want the perfect picture in your home theater? Get rich, deep black levels resulting from a 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. You'll also have no problem projecting right through ambient light brilliantly thanks to 1,700 ANSI lumen brightness.
