Too much bass!!!
Do you like bass? Of course you do, but sometimes too much of a good thing can be bad. I bought these headphones after my MDR-XB20EX headphones got frayed on the inside. Those headphones were the best headphones I have ever owned. So putting my trust in Sony's extra bass series I bought these $50 headphones. After having these headphones for more than a month I can say this: the overall sound sounds hollow, the bass is muddy and over powers the highs and mids, and after listening to them for a little bit your ears start to hurt.

Great sound great value
I got these and when i first listened to them there was not nearly as much bass as i expected, so i purchased a Fiio McKinley portable headphone amplifier and the bass became immediately tremendous, so with a headphone amp, which is about the size of an ipod shuffle, ($15.00) these headphones are to die for, i can literally feel the bass inside my head :) Had the product for 3 months now 5/5 BRAVO!!

Satisfied
I've owned diddy beats, and soul sl49s. The bass in these headphones are lacking compared to them.
But on the other hand, the range is soo good that I'm hearing new things in songs that I've listen to all the time. The design of the ear buds are top notch. Overall the headphones are a great buy and I think I can get used to the bass.

Excellent Earphones!
I was always thinking that Xtra Bass headphones would be a fail but these were not even close to a fail. I have these and also the MDR-X10. I haven't used the MDR-X10 yet but I found these earphones great to listen on. All around, the best affordable earbuds! They don't sound like cheap $50.00 earbuds. I found these better that my DiddyBeats by Dr. Dre headphones.
