Just plug in your compatible smartphone or MP3 player and enjoy crystal-clear audio with the convenience of on-screen artist names and title tracks. Advanced Sony audio technologies not only improve the sound quality of your audio files, they also deliver smooth volume transitions between tracks—a pleasant and potentially eardrum-saving feature. You can play CDs and popular digital audio files like MP3, WMA and AAC songs, plus there's an auxiliary input on the front of the receiver for your convenience.
Connect, charge, and control your Android™ or Blackberry®3 smartphone’s audio files in MSC mode, Walkman® player or other compatible USB devices2 via the front USB input. You can also view metadata like song title and artist on the front display.
The Advanced Sound Engine uses EQ7 equalizer, adjustable LPF/HPF crossovers, Listener Position/Time Alignment calibration, DM+ advanced sound restoration, Rear Bass Enhancer, and Dynamic Loudness to deliver an impressive listening experience.

The Digital Clarity Tuner delivers industry leading signal to noise ratios, lower interference, better multipath rejection and better stereo separation. The RDS feature displays broadcast information when listening to compatible AM/FM stations.
This receiver is compatible with aftermarket remote control adapters4 designed to utilize the vehicles existing, primary radio controls directly from the steering wheel. The 1/8” rear panel mounted remote input jack allows for simple connectivity.
Use Quick-BrowZer® to find music by artist, album, genre, song or playlist. Jump Mode allows you to fast forward through a category in 10% increments while the ZAPPIN™ feature can play a 6, 9, or 30 second intro clip to help you find a specific song.
Automatic Level Optimizer analyzes each tracks playback levels and adjusts output level to optimize transitions between tracks and sources.
When you’re ready to expand your system, the CDX-GT470UM offers selectable 2 volt rear or subwoofer pre-amp RCA outputs for external amplifiers. The adjustable subwoofer level control lets you dial in the bass when you’re ready to pump it up.
Red key illumination helps you locate buttons quickly during evening playback.
