Excellent Usability and quality
Great little product. You can charge your phone, display screen on your hdtv, and have a mouse and keyboard or any other usb device connected. Very cool. The finish is surprisingly great. Highly recommended

SmartDock is a Smart Choice
The SmartDock easily convinced me to opt for the Sony Xperia Ion. I have been following development of the phone and this product when it was first announced earlier this year. It most definitely delivers. I have an older Sony Bravia TV and connected to that first and worked extremely well and currently using it on my Asus monitor in my office. I hooked up a Logitech USB receiver and can use both my mouse and keyboard with no problem. I even hooked up an arcade stick which works wonders with some of the apps on the market. I always look forward to demonstrating this to my friends. As for the lack of cables, the dock uses the same as the one included with the phone. And for the HDMI cord it was worth the investment. Also because it has two USB ports you can hook up 2 devices. I had two PS3 controllers and managed to run some multiplayer! Off my phone! The portability is amazing. Essentially with the SmartDock you can enable the Ion to be a mini-console. I did try producing my own dock but it didn't look this stylish or function as well. If you don't get this dock for your ion you are missing out on a lot of functionality and convenience. A note to Sony you should offer this accessory for all your phones.

Well built, adds lots of functionality
This dock is sturdy. Holds the ion very tight (almost too tight when trying to dock it). Two USB ports and an HDMI out make this dock very functional. I really like this dock over my Livedock just for the extra ports and how firmly it holds the phone. It didn't come with cables but its not that big a deal, just use the ones that came with the phone.

Seriously, no cables.
Seriously, no cables included! For 60+ dollars, you would think at least a power cable would be included. Part of the reason I bought it was to charge my phone. Now, I have to purchase a cable for another 15 dollars with shipping.
Better description on what is needed/suggested with this product is needed.
