Decent laptop So this laptop is a great deal when considering the specs of it (ivy bridge i5, blu-ray, etc), but for what you get in specs, you lose in other areas. The native resolution is only 1366x768 which for smaller screens might be great, but for 15 inches and over, it is quite weak. The build quality of the keys and the plastic behind the keys feel cheap and plasticy. The trackpad...the main problem that I see with it is that many people are used to clicking the middle area of the pad. With this track pad you have to definitively press either the right or the left, pressing the middle could result in either button depending on if you veered slightly left or right. Overall, if you don't mind the screen rez (if you use an external monitor as your main one, this is fine as well), if you plan to use a separate mouse or can get used to the trackpad and can deal with the cheap build, this laptop is a decent deal. For the others, you might want to spring a little more for the higher end models. August 12, 2012

i love it i really love my new laptop. sad it doesn't fit any of the sleeves i bought:-( but imma get one from the sony store soon. i love the backlit keyboard option and with the bluray i can finally watch some movies! i do not regret buying this laptop at all. the mouse pad isn't too much of a problem since i am buying a laser mouse to go with it. and im sure the backlit keyboard will dim once my keyboard skin arrives. other than those i can't really think of anything bad about this laptop!
