TPM (Trusted Platform Module) provides secure information management and enhanced business protection. TPM is built into a computer to store cryptographic information, such as encryption keys. Spent $3k on a laptop that overheats/crashes on me Spent $3k on this thing, and day 1 it overheats and crashes. After a restart, it continues to crash periodically due to a software glitch. I can imagine this happening after a few months or years of use, but for this to happen day 1? Lame. They charge you extra for a restore CD (otherwise you have to burn it yourself which takes... 5 hours), so I can't even restore my laptop to see if that will help. May 15, 2012
