Dynamic Range Optimizer

Dynamic Range Optimizer (DRO) Standard and Plus uses a sophisticated algorithm to help recover shadows and highlights. DRO is particularly effective when shooting backlit portraits or any scene with a dramatic contrast between background and foreground lighting. Self-Portrait Timer

Self-Portrait Timer helps take the guesswork out of self portraits by utilizing Face Detection technology to recognize when your face enters the frame. Once the camera detects your face, it triggers a 2-second timer, and then snaps a picture.

Sweep Panorama™ mode (up to 360°)

Sony W620 very disappointing Overall very disappointing. Most pictures having to use flash turned out blurred or had a shadow/double vision effect. The zoom and digital stabilizer did not work well together. Most pictures taken (and I have taken a lot of them - I have had to, due to poor performance of camera) did not produce crisp images. In fact there was considerable noise in a few of them. The panoramic setting produced better results than the stills. It is a shame as the spec for the W620 looked promising. Sorry, but I am going back to my old Canon Powershot A630. May 21, 2012
