Make your speaker dock even more useful by downloading Sony's D-Sappli app completely free of charge. Use its Music Play Timer functionality to set your music to automatically start and stop whenever you'd like. Fall asleep to your favorite nighttime playlist without the annoyance of waking up to it the next morning by setting Sleep Timer to turn it off after you've fallen asleep – it's just like the Sleep Timer on your TV. Switch things up with 7 uniquely attractive clock display designs or adjust the brightness to just the way you'd like by sliding your finger vertically on the screen. For speaker dock models with the applicable clock function, D-Sappli automatically synchs date/time information from your iPod® touch, iPhone®, or iPad® so you don't have to, plus it makes it easy to set the alarm via the touch screen of your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad.

Great Sound, but "red" is not "red"
first the gripe: i chose red because i have enough black and silver gadgets already. plus, i still have a soft spot in my heart for my old red minidisc player MZ-R900 (which still runs) and the red aluminum Sony Reader.
But this NOT red. it's a dark orange. i've worked in a design shop and done lots of color matching of products and product photography and this can't be considered red at all; it's a dark orange. it's still very handsome; almost a copper color. but it's not red.
So i bought this to use in the baby's room to play ambient music and then bring out on the deck for music with breakfast or while swimming and it works for that. it fills a room to my desire; i dont need it to overpower my conversations or be a distraction so if you want HUGE sound go in a different direction. but if you want a nice, full, well-rounded sound, then this works really well.
