Sound Story

Lows, Mids and Highs...Like never before One of the best headphones I've owned. I rarely write reviews but was compelled to this time because these were awesome right outta box. I bought them with some research as there is very limited information on the web so far. What convinced me was that Sony designed the XBA series from ground up with Balance Armature. Typically, Sony has made good headphones and therefore I thought a reinvigorated product line had little chance to be disappointing. And disappoint they did not. The first thing you'll notice is that they feel solid and well built. The finish is of A-grade Sony product. The sound, what really matters to anyone, is simply incredible. I listen to a lot of bass-heavy electronic music and its effect is lost when headphones loosen in the ear but XBA-4ip stays in place and has a warm thumping bass that is rare in in-ear styles. Then there is the distinct mid-range, where so much information resides that i'm hearing new unheard sounds in tracks I've known so well. The highs are also crisp without reaching distortion. The ipod control is responsive. Overall, I love these headphones more than the Dr. Dre Beats or Bose IE2. XBA's is where music meets the ears. December 11, 2012
Exquisit sound These just came today and I've not even gotten through the burn in period, but I couldn't wait to comment. I've auditioned them with Afro Celt Sound System. The amount of detail present is mind boggling. Huge sound stage and fantastic stereo imaging. These are the clearest in the mid range of any earphones I use, including my Sennheiser IE8s. The bass, even without being burned in, is solid and realistic. I'm very anxious to hear these burned in with a headphone amp. The iPod does tend to impede my bass pleasure! Highly recommended and a good by for the money. April 16, 2012
sonys got it in the bag! these headphones will do good trust me i put my faith in my first pair of headphones and sony had not let me down i have had them for a long time and they still sound the best then when i came across these i said sony is the most boss buissnes ever and i spread the word to so if you are looking for the best look at sony and these headphones trust me it will shock you on what they can do.
