no match for iPod Sony should really make an effort to compete with the iPod...this offering doesn't do it. All the features are there to be an iPod killer, but they didn't follow through. It is called a MP3 player - and that's what it is. I wanted something to replace my Zune, but the Sony software will not recognize WAV files, so I had to download all my CDs again! The software should be built to recognize other formats. The iPod sure does - it will take any format and convert it to the Apple file. The storage needs to be at least 64MB, or have the ability to add storage to the item. Not happy with this product - will upgrade to the new iPod touch...as much as I hate to do so. If only Sony could do better... November 6, 2012

If it's a quality product, it must be a Sony Have you ever had your eyes closed while watching a video? Probably not but that's what this NWZZ1060 will make you do with its pristine sound quality. You hear tones which never existed before. Always remember, this is a dedicated walkman and it does best what it's built for. The only problem I had wth apps frequently crashing esp the video app Sony provided. It crashes like 4-5 times in a day or even more. I hope it will be fixed in the app's next release but overall if you're looking for sound quality on the go, grab it proudly. Falling in love with Sony all over again :) November 3, 2012

Losing Customers Because of the Sound???? This is a nice device, but I have read many reviews about sound quality issues with this device. I was wondering why my Z sounded so bad too. The graphic equalizer just didnt seem to work at all and sounded muddy and flat. SO, I went into the eq settings and turned them off, then back on again, and VOILA!! That seemed to fix it. But Sony should do a firmware update because I think they are losing customers because of this sound issue with this walkman. How about a Flac support update, please? Also they are 100 dollars cheaper now too. September 22, 2012

Great Hardware - Terrible Software A great device. A large screen makes working on e-mail and watching YouTube videos a reality. The audio sound is fantastic whether using earplugs or connecting via Bluetooth to your stereo etc. The only let-down is the music unlimited service that you can subscribe to. If it had the same build quality as the device then it would be a great service. But constant crashes on the Walkman, network dropouts, unresponsive system, diabolical performance as well as just plain frustrating errors (such as songs on the playlist just not playing) and no way to escalate these issues let Sony down and don?t meet my expectations as a Sony customer. So buy a Walkman they are very good. But hold off the Sony Music Unlimited Service as it is just not ready for prime time. August 16, 2012
