Nice Stand
Bought ths stand for a new Sony KDL55HX850. Stand was very Heavy needed 2 People to carry the box up the stairs. Real wood with a painted finish. I mounted the television using the mounting brackets supplied with the stand instead of the glass top shelf. After an easy assembly and final "tweaking" of everything, I'm glad I went with this stand. It really looks like it was made for this model T.V. ! Looks absolutely perfect. Plenty of room for all AV componants and even a few pictures that I had on top of my old TV. Only down side is that it scratches easily. A nice clear coat of laquer would have been nice. I was looking in Best Buy at stands similar to this and they were around a thousand dollars. So, I would say, the value was good also. All in all im very happy with this stand!

Beautiful & Solid!
I ordered this stand/base blind since the SonyStyle website doesn't have specs as to size, dimensions such as shelf width-only specs of package size, which is weird. As it turned out, it is one beautiful stand. This stand is made by Pinnacle Design and is an excellent value. I'm using the glass table top option as opposed to the supplied mount which seemed a bit complicated and involved. My KDL-55HX729 looks beautiful on it and the stand is rock solid. It's not only the looks but the quality which impressed me. It was fairly easy to assemble (2 people needed) this very heavy, stable piece. If anyone is worried about the protruding middle glass shelf, don't be concerned. The glass shelves are thick and tempered. I placed self-adhesive plastic sliders on the legs to be able to slide the stand away from and back to the wall. This Proforma stand is highly recommended!
