Mine works so well, I bought another!! Maybe I am lucky, but I have now had my unit for seven months & it works great. I did get a refurbished unit from here at Sony & I am not disappointed. Even though I have "High Speed DSL" with a "High Speed Price" I have never seen performance near what high speed DSL should be with my laptops & tablets. In spite of my DSL, I have been able to watch any of the Amazon Instant Videos or Netflix I choose. No lagging, dropping, reloading, frustration etc. I get enjoyable, stress free viewing. I cannot say that about other devices we own that I have tried to watch videos from these sites & they are capable products with an incapable connection. I also have a 25 cat5E cable like another reviewer The blu-ray player has a beautiful picture & I really enjoy using it. I have not fully gotten the hang of the remote, but that is my fault, I have not looked at the instruction book and studied it to learn about the buttons, but I get to where I need to go when I use it. All in all, I have had great luck with mine & I was confident enough in the experience I am having with my Sony Blu-Ray BDP-S185 that I bought an identical one for my brother... I have been very impressed & have enjoyed it very much. The price was great for both mine & his. Before I purchased this, I was about to buy a streaming media unit when I came across this Sony & it costs less than I would have paid for just a streaming unit & I got a blu-ray player thrown in for free! I would buy again & would highly recommend this unit for the quality, price & value of what you get for just a little bit of $$. January 26, 2013

worst sony purchase ever from walmart i will exchange for a new ( not refurbished ) at walmart. Then have reservations on buying another sony hybrid player. maybe even go with another brand. My last sony dvd player didn't last that long. May 23, 2012
Good Purchase - Works Great Works great. My concern about performance using my relatively slow Internet connection are now gone. I have this refurbished BD player connected to my network router with a 25' cat 5e cable and to my Sony HT-CT 150 Home Theatre System with an HDMI cable. My network has a DSL Model with service rated at 10 Mbs (speed test shows 1.45 Mbs). May 23, 2012
