Great for beginner OK, so my title and "Cons" seem to contradict. But, with the help of the Help "Show Me" feature, you're creating pretty nice video edits right out of the gate. Some of the features are a bit tricky to get the hang of, but once you figure it out (or use the help text) it's a Snap. This is my first video editing software I have ever purchased, and after reading all the reviews out there, I think I made the right choice. I did my first full length video for my daughter, of her wedding. I added photos from when they were growing up, added old VHS home videos (that I convered to DVD with other hardware), I added music and some pretty neat special effects. She LOVED it! Sure, it wasn't Hollywood quality, but for my first video it turned out great. I don't believe I could have done it half as easily with the other products out there. I did try several "trials" before I got Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 and one or two may have been simpler, they were NOT as powerful and versatile! February 24, 2012

AMAZING!!!!!! This is an amazing video editing program and it is very proffesional, it has an amazing amount of effects and transitions and you get make them exactly how you want them to, I reccommend this to an intermediate to an advanced video editor. I love it! and you can make very proffesional movies with this, good job sony! February 24, 2012
