VOR

Voice Operated Recording starts and stops the recording when sound of a sufficient level is picked up by the microphone. This feature saves valuable recording time by not recording periods when there is little or no sound.

ALARM

Set a future date and time and the recording will automatically be played.

DPC

Digital Pitch Control enables the recording to be played at a faster or slower rate without changing the pitch.

EASY SEARCH

Rewinds or Fast Forwards in short increments making it easier to locate a segment in a long recording for review.

MULTI LANGUAGE MENU

Enables the menu language to be displayed in English, French or Spanish.

RECORDS IN MP3

Records on a common great quality format that can be easily used with other systems.

STEREO MICROPHONE

Record in stereo with the included stereo microphone. The built-in stand elevates the microphone for enhanced recording capabilities.

EXPANDABLE MEMORY

ADD RECORDING

DICTATION CORRECTION

Just Checked It Out I've played with the Sony ICD-AX412, today. It's nice. But, Sony advertises a backlit screen provision, which I've not found? Also, it is not as "ready" as my old Olympus VN-480PC, which begins recording from an "Off" status by simply pressing the "Rec" button. The Sony requires that an On/Off switch be used and that you wait while memory is processed...sometimes 10 seconds if there is a Micro SD card installed. I suspect the recording quality of the Sony will be better. February 20, 2013
