Very impressed, fantastic camera I shoot simi-pro video and bought this camera for something small that I can easily carry when it isn't practical to have a larger camera. Other cameras that are this size often say they are HD but have choppy horizontal video. The image stabilizer is the best I've ever seen, I can walk with the camera and shoot steady video. The zoom is optical and is fantastic. Picture quality is great and it's fun to be able to show the video on the wall after I shoot it. Sure it may not have all the professional features of a large simi-pro camera but size is what I was looking for along with quality, it's easy to use, quick to power up. I love this camera! OMG who wrote the software? The software that comes with the camcorder is very poor. But, you can buy good software that wasn't written by Helen Keller. Be very carefull when you first put the disc into your computer. It will take over all your Photos too , which it has no business accessing unless you tell it to. PS you do not want to do that. The projector portion is poor at best, Im sure I will never use it. This is my third Sony camcorder over the past 28 years or so. It will be my last. I'm saddened by the poor quality and would love to have my money back. January 17, 2012

Love it! I bought this to record a new Grandchild. I trust the Sony name and quality and as expected, am thrilled with the ease of use and features of this! I am sure there is alot I don't know about it yet, but I know it will provide many years of use! December 27, 2011

It's not perfect, but it's not too bad either... Though not super perfect, lowlight and nightshots are reasonably acceptable from this little fellow. The same goes for daylight shots. No issues in editing and rendering videos in Windows XP and Window 7 64 bits using Adobe Premiere and After Effects CS5 and above. Been using it for about a year now without any technical issues.
