not what i thought it would be
I orderd this and will be returning it. I was looking for a low profile yet elegant looking sleeve so that the Z lid would not be scratched by the zippers or pens while carrying it around in my leather briefcase. This item is way to heavy, thick and wide to pull in and out of a nice sized bag. I ordered this other envelope style sleeve and love it and it is half the price. Sony should tag it as a z series accessory as it fits perfictly. Check it out.

Useless!
I used to have an old Z VAIO Laptop and I bought its case three years ago. It was so good: quality is high, so efficient, and elegant. So, when I bought the new Z VAIO, I bought this case with it; and, it was a great disappointment!
It seems that Sony paid so much attention to the design, only! Hay, I want a case for my laptop, not something to carry around and brag about!
This case is poor in two things. First, it makes your slim Z VAIO looks big! It has these type of sides and corners that ad so much size which in unnecessary. Second, it is not smooth to take your laptop in or out of this case. The case has extra protection ?I think- at the zipper which make the open so tight and keep holding to the screws at the bottom of your Z VAIO.
I wish I did not buy this case.

Great case!
This is the perfect carrying case for my Vaio Z. It looks stylish and still has the cool Vaio logo on it. I especially love the leather.
