Great Product Sony I found out is ahead of the game as far as DVD players go. Also, we always like the ratings Sony gets in consumers reports. And, it's good to match DVD with the TV. Jim April 22, 2011

Sony Listen Up! The player offers nice picture and sound quality. However it is not as quick as adverstised. It took the new Avatar Extended edition BD a full blown 4 mins just to load. That is just UNACCEPTABLE. I also have the new Panasonic DMP-BDT210 and that player devours the Avatar disc loading it in just under a min!.....SONY if you are reading this please take a NOTE. I might just be returning this player because of that..... March 7, 2011

Excellent Performance & Value The Sony BDP-S770 Blu-ray disk player offers a wide variety of options, is easy to setup, connects easily to your wireless home network, provides alerts when there are updates and downloads and installs the updates in a timely manner without any issues. The remote control unit is very easy to use and the audio/video quality is superb, whether you're playing a conventional DVD, Blu-ray disk, DVD Audio, or media from a USB device. The unit is compact in size but offers extraordinary value for a very reasonable price. The only issue I've ever encountered was with a Blu-ray concert disk and the issue turned out to be with the disk itself. Upon replacing the damaged disk, the unit played the entire concert plus all of the extras without incident in full Blu-ray HD audio and video. It is has proven to be an excellent addition to my home entertainment center and rests comfortably on the top shelf of my TV console. March 6, 2011
