A very good all around desktop system Although maybe a bit pricey, it's a beautiful system. I use it for Digitally developing my photographs using LR/ Photoshop, and the occasional game. The display color and contrast are outstanding and the processor is very fast, too. January 27, 2011
Very Happy with The VAIO L Series All I can say is that I've been very happy with this purchase. I like the looks and the performance. OS seems to load new programs very quickly. Restarts really fast. The quality of the screen is excellent. It's not a like a standard computer monitor, more like a HDTV screen (glass?). Mouse and keyboard operate well, great feel and sensitivity. I'm trying to find something I don't like but it hasn't happened yet. October 21, 2010
deserves a more powerful OS A powerful machine like this works much better with MS windows 7 enterprise, or something else outside the home label. Sony should allow buyers to purchase the machine pre-installed with other versions of windows. I bought three of these (two for home and one for work). They are great, but I had to install MS windows 7 Enterprise on them (Home Premium does not even allow hosting remote desktop which is really useful even to just communicate from one home computer to another, let alone from work). The problem with installing a better version of MS W7 is that you loose most of the preloaded apps on the machine. So make sure to create your recovery disks first, then you can recover all the applications after the upgrade. You don't loose anything except a LOT of time... Another problem is that the machine is a bit low on a desk. You may need a stand or better still wall mount it is possible. September 20, 2010
number 1 I find this computer the best out there for the cost and its the best computer that you can have for your family to use . I find the Vaio L for me is a computer easy to use and the best to have and beleave me Sony has made a computer to be prould of so I say keep up the great work and keep making thses computers dont stop you found a good thing ,,, August 27, 2010
