Wireless Adapter-UWABR100 Love love love it. It's so great to now have YouTube and much more programming than I realized I would be able to receive. Saved the hassle of having to use the only hardwire cable that is attached to our wireless router. We've had it hooked up for about 10 days now, and it's worked great since plugging it in. Terrible range I've had this adapter plugged into my KDL-EX711 for a year and a half. Worked great out of the box for about 3 months. Gradually over time, the signal from my router would get weaker. Replaced the router, and made no difference. Replaced router again 6 months later hoping this would help, but no difference. New router has incredible range.. I can walk 100ft down the street and still connect with my tablet. No luck with the tv. This adapter is a waste of time and money. I've noticed the other reviews seem to state the same fact. Buy a tv or home theatre with built in wireless When watching Netflix or Youtube, there is a constant disruption! Also, the signal will drop (periodically) and must hit "retry". I highly suggest buying a tv or home theatre with built in wireless. There is no updates or trouble shooting guide, at least, none that I can find. ***I've owned this product for about a year*** December 13, 2012
Sony Adaptor I have both an EX, which uses the adapter and HX, which uses a built in Wireless. My EX is located about 75 feet from my B___ N router on the same floor. The adapter does not work well when plugged into the TV but works very well when plugged into the extender, which I place on the stand behind the corner of the TV closest to the router (out of view). I have used all of the features of the TV's internet services without pause or delay (except for the browser). I have also used all of the TV's available features compatible with my Sony Z laptop computer using the Media Plus software included with the Z. This also works well but has to be installed carefully - precisely following the online instructions! It will also work with MS software products using DNLA.. Although I am not able to view my browser, which is not supported, I am able to see photos, videos, documents and music from my computer. Youtube and Nettflix also work well. The HX now comes with a computer software keypad while the EX does not. This software was recently added to the HX and is a major shortfall for the EX. Please correct this Sony. Browser support can be added from a 3rd party for about $3.99 using at least one online product. The browser available on both the EX and HX are not worthy of these two beautiful TV's.
