Value, Versatility and Quality
This is a great sounding docking station for the price. I have been using this for just a few days and for the price the sound and quality of build cannot be beat. I read a lot of reviews that say that a treble and bass control is a must but if you take in consideration that the ipod and iphone has a built in sets of sounds this is all you need. It is a little heavy and I docked 1 star in design because hauling this thing can be a pain but once it sits, it ROCKS! The sound is great for the price when you take in consideration the wattage and its got 2 way speakers. Yes 2 way for less than $100 bucks. Sound is nice and crisp. The aux input serves as a versatile input where you can plug in a laptop, mp3 player, tvs, cd players, even your PS3 with the right cabling. Please take in consideration you are paying $100 or less for this unit.

great sound, loud enough pool parties
I compared the sony trik with other brands and most of them look and sound like toys compared with this heavy duty feeling speaker dock, and with 6.3kg it is heavy as well (which is a good sign for speakers/amplifiers).
While the sound is great, it would be good to be able to adjust treble/bass, this is not available.
Also, I cant get it to work with my ipod nano gen5 (ipod has latest sw updates). from the moment I dock the ipod, it plays for like 1/2s and then switches to PAUSE mode on the ipod, everytime. the remote also doesn't work for the ipod gen 5.
the speaker dock works well with my iphone4G, no issues at all so there must be some compatibility issue with the ipod gen 5 :-(((
So despite the great sound, I can't recommend this unit.

THE SONY "TRIK"
according to the design of this product i can only say that their target audience are young people ( teens specifically ) i would say from the ages 10 and up. the highs and mids have a fairly good sound i would say 8 out of 10. me being 20 and knowing some about sound and modern culture, the kids love bass. there should have been more lows brought into the mix. I think SONY should have cared more about impressing their demographic rather than deciding what they thought was better for their audience. I Love Dubstep, if the engineers of this product don't know what this genre of music is, get to know it because its becoming pretty big. and a lot of bass is involved. i would say thats the only thing this product lacks. BASS!!!!!!!! other than that i guess nothing.
