must have item i love this addition for my Handycam HDR-CX150. Since the camera is so small, this helps with overall camera control. great slow and rapid zoom function. easy access to record video and snap photos at the same time. I wish it had 3" - 6" leg extensions so the tri-pod heighth could be adjusted. Plus an additional place to hold your spare battary would be nice as well, but overall it makes shooting video easier and more convenient. June 26, 2012

Not happy Purchased 10/23/09. Sony website mentions available features (elevator ?, guide frame) No such thing is available. Have Sony tripod with remote that cost less than GP-AVT1 Shooting Grip. It has all the features that the grip promises but does not deliver. (Power on & off, GUIDE FRAME, pan, slow zoom) October 28, 2009
