NEVER AGAIN!!!! Less than two years this TV is done. Blue vertical lines...Pixelating all the time...Just unviewable picture. And no customer support. Customer service told me I would have to spend about the same amount of money as for a new one on Sony's refurbished with only a 90 day warranty. January 21, 2012

Wonderful Picture - Clear and Crisp I've had this TV since December 2009 and bought with the Blu-Ray and Surround system as a bundle. I have this TV hooked up to my HD Comcast Cable. When watching Sports its Amazing almost feels like your on the Field with the Players. Picture quality and clarity is excellent - I have been absolutely stunned by the HD performance of this TV. Great until 18 months Excellent picture until horizontal lines started after 18 months...at first, lines went away after about 10 mins. now its taking about 30 minutes of (warming up)... The term tab bonding seems to be the answer to the problem...out of warranty..still paying for the tv. Spend thousands on a tv to have it last 18 months- Add this to my list of faulty Sony products..ps3.. kds 50A2000..now kdl52z5100. No more.. November 16, 2011

Painful experience with this SONY TV I purchased this TV in November 2009 and was very excited about it. The first problem came after about 8 months when TV would not turn on at all instead the red light blinked 4 times, pause, and repeat. Fortunately, it was less than one year so the fault was fixed under manufacturer's warranty. It was painful because I was out of TV for one whole month. Not cool. Now TV has a problem where the TV turns on but no picture. Here's exactly what happens: If I unplug the TV and then plug back in I can hear the circuit click on with power. When I press the power button the Sony name will light below the screen and the screen will attempt to power up displaying the word Bravia and trying to show the picture. Then the Sony name will turn off and the stand by light will begin to blink 6 times. If I press power a second time the screen will attempt to power up only once and then the standby light will blink 3 times. If I press the power button again nothing will happen until I unplug at which time the above sequence of events will repeat. For such an expensive TV with great expectations from Sony, this is just a terrible situation. Right now I don't have any TV, well I have one but it doesn't do any good. I am missing the NFL season and I have already missed the MLB playoffs / world series. Very sad. Sony, will do you anything to help? Is there a recall on KDL-52Z5100 TV's? October 16, 2011
