This 3G enabled¹⁵ device lets you access the internet⁵, videos, pictures, GPS⁵ and other applications with the tip of your finger. Boasting space for nine panels, you can personalize the X1 interface to suit your needs. Work efficiently while you're on the move with the ability to manage your email⁵, calendar and Microsoft® Office documents. Additionally, the X1 features a 3.0-inch, high resolution, touch screen display⁸, distinctive arc slider design with full QWERTY keyboard and sophisticated metal body. You can even take pictures in portrait or landscape mode with the built-in 3.2 megapixel camera.

Xperia™ X1 Panel Interface

Enjoy access to different experiences -- web⁵, multimedia, applications -- from your X1. Navigate with the tip of your finger. A dedicated Xperia™ panel key on the device enables you to toggle between different user experiences by changing the Xperia™ panels. For example, the Sony Ericsson panel allows you to customize your X1 with time, weather⁵, news⁵ and calendar updates⁵ while the Media Experiences panel makes it easy to quickly navigate through all of your media experiences. There are a multitude of panels available, and with space for 9 active panels, you can configure the interface to suit your life.

Wi-Fi Support

For a fast internet connection in hotspots, the X1 has Wi-Fi support⁵.

Internet Email

The X1 allows you to set up third-party email accounts using the email setup wizard. Just enter the email address and the X1 configures the email account automatically.

Bluetooth® Audio Streaming

Enjoy high quality stereo audio streaming wirelessly from your phone using Bluetooth A2DP compatible devices, such as a stereo Bluetooth headset⁴. Many A2DP accessories also support AVRCP, which allows you to control the music player in the phone using the accessory interface.

Video Capture

Video Clips are ideal for those unexpected and memorable moments. Videos can be stored in the phone or on a compatible memory card, and can be shared with friends and family as a picture message¹¹, email⁵, or other transfer method like Bluetooth technology⁴.

USB 2.0 & MicroSD card slot

Whether you utilize the X1’s internal memory, the USB 2.0 mass storage availability or a MicroSD card (sold separately), the X1 lets you decide how and where you store your data. This flexibility allows you to easily transfer data between multiple devices.

Web Browser Support

Browse the internet with Internet Explorer Mobile or Opera™ Web browser 9.5⁵. Even view videos from sites like YouTube™, or download videos⁵ to your Media Experiences panel.

Microsoft® ActiveSync®

The Microsoft ActiveSync software lets you synchronize your data (email, contacts, calendar, files, etc.)⁵. You can synchronize pictures, music, and videos from the Windows Media Player in your compatible PC. ActiveSync also allows you to install new applications to your phone.

Bluetooth® Wireless Technology

Do you have multiple Bluetooth devices? With the X1 you can connect to several compatible devices simultaneously⁴, giving you the ability to answer a call with a Bluetooth headset while transferring images to another compatible device.

Integrated Camera + Photo Light

The built-in 3.2 megapixel camera allows you to take pictures in portrait or landscape mode. Use the viewfinder with Touch auto focus to tell the camera where you want it to focus. Also included are dedicated menus and direct interaction with in-phone imaging & messaging. Need light? Turn on the Photo light to enhance your pictures.

Multiple Input Methods Available

Utilize the 3-inch touch screen⁸ that can be operated using your finger or the supplied stylus, or try the optical joystick, 4-way navigation key, or wide-pitch QWERTY keyboard. With a variety of options, you decide how to navigate your X1. However you navigate, getting back to your personalized Xperia™ panel interface is as easy as pressing the dedicated “Panel” button.

Windows Mobile®6.1 Professional

With Windows Mobile® OS inside, you can enjoy your favorite entertainment and work efficiently on the move. Connect easily to your office using the familiar Windows interface to manage your email, calendar, and Microsoft Office documents, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Push Email
