Digital Cinema Auto Calibration

An ideal listening experience is only a button away. Simply place the included microphone in your listening position, push a single button and speaker position, distance and delays are automatically calibrated. Sony Digital Signal Processing uses feedback between the microphone and receiver to optimize sound settings.

Great AV Receiver I just set up the STR-DG1200, and am really pleased with its performance. The local audio store warned me against Sony, but I have always been pleased with their AV units. This one is no exception. Even with HDMI inputs, it took a while to set up a 5.1 system, but it was easy. Once everything was connected, the auto speaker balance was a snap. Wish the remote had an LCD screen that interacted with the receiver to better see what settings have been chosen, it's hard to read the display from across the room. All in all, a great unit and easy to set up. April 24, 2009
Great receiver Although I bought this for hooking up a surround system for movie watching, I can't believe how great my cd's sound on it. I have a 5:1 hook-up and it's like being at the movies. March 19, 2009
GREAT RECEIVER!!! THIS IS THE BEST SONY RECEIVER I HAVE PURCHASED.IT HAS A GREAT AMOUNT OF POWER AND THE SOUND IS TRULY AMAZING!!!I HAVE A SONY BLU-RAY PLAYER AND 65 INCH MITSUBISHI TV HOOKED TO IT AND I NEVER HAVE TO GO TO A MOVIE THEATER AGAIN. January 3, 2009
