a smart buy
received the protective cover last week, snaps secure on the view screen. i am ordering a second cover, just as a spare. doese not look like the picture, must be an updated version, very secure fit.

bad experience
It constantly fell of my camera and finally broke and damaged LCD screen instead of protecting it.

LCD Protect cover easily broken
The idea of protecting the camera's LCD display is a good one, except this cover's molded retaining clips are easily broken during normal use and as a result it wont stay attached. Add that to the fact that there is no Sony warranty, makes this item a very disappointing purchase.

Way to Go Sony
This is a great item Sony engineered. I honestly do not mind paying a few extra dollars for this item esp. since it protects the sensitve LCD screen from cracks, scratches, and finger prints. If this LCD proector gets scratches, eh, no big deal; buy another one for $12.00, but if you crack your LCD screen it'll cost wayyy more than $12.00. I bough a few extra because they will pay off in the long haul. Thanks Sony!
