LCD Failed - Sony should RECALL!!!! Like many others who have posted, my LCD went bad (vertical line on right side of screen) 35 months into ownership. Sony 2 year warranty expired, but luckily I paid with AMEX card and they extend warranty 1 extra year. Still awaiting their final response - I suspect they will give me a check for replacement cost since I paid $2400 for this TV - comparable models now sell for $1500 - repair estimate to fix this is $3100. I have shared this forum with AMEX so they can see that there is a pattern here and they should go after Sony for reimbursement. November 26, 2011

Tv is out in 17 month Do not buy SONY!!!!!! Stay away!!! Double picture and vertical line for first 20 minutes of viewing. Then works until turn off, and same every day October 9, 2011

Sony Bravia 52" This tv is not reliable. The panel went out of my tv and it was only a year and a half old!!! Do not purchase this tv!!!! January 5, 2011
