Slipping
This particular model lasted less than 4 months just out of the 90 day warranty period ! I have had about 5 of these Sony changers (different models) and every one of them does the same thing.(stops reading or loading discs) I've always been a loyal Sony customer,but after these and 2 short lived tv's I've had it !!! No more!! Sony is putting out junk now and I'm going to see if the Consumer Protection people won't help,just Google this model number and look at all the hits about problems with these things !

Do Not Buy
This DVD player lasted just 6 months! It was great while it lasted, with superb picture quality. However, now the player does not recognize disks. It flashes "LOADING" for a while, then gives up and goes to the next disk. Eventually, it says "NO DISK." It cannot load a DVD-SL, DVD-DL, or a CD.

Short Life
This DVD player lasted just 6 months! It was great while it lasted, with superb picture quality, upscaled to 1080p through HDMI to a Sony Bravia HDTV. However, now the player does not recognize disks. It flashes "LOADING" for a while, then gives up and goes to the next disk. Eventually, it says "NO DISK." It cannot load a DVD-SL, DVD-DL, or a CD. All of my previous Sony DVD player still work, including a 2nd-generation unit that's over 10 years old. Obviously, quality is no longer much concern, and this model cannot be recommended.

Looking to replace with an older model from ebay
My old Sony CD 5-disc changer from 1992 would do this and the older 5-disc DVD/CD will. Should not have been that hard to retain this feature. When I bought it I just assume it would.
