Best Tape for HDV Don't let anyone tell you there is no such thing as HD video tapes! I try to tell people it is just like the old 35 mm film cameras. There IS a difference between good and bad film OR tape. The chemical compound and reliability of the Sony HD mini DV tapes is worth the price. I have tried cheaper and non HD tapes and they have much more sound noise and video "noise. The HD tapes have a clearer picture and fewer "dropouts." Of course, most people can't tell the difference between .mp3 and a good quality CD so what do I know..... December 5, 2011
