Buy it if you chat with friends
It took me a while to finally get this device and i put it to use for the first few weeks but eventually got bored. The thing is that many people DONT have a playstation eye so chatting with friends can get a little dull unless they have one. It is neat though to upload youtube videos. I am a little dissapointed with sony for not releasing driver software for neither mac nor pc users. But nice design and fun when friends have one too. I gave it 1 star rating so sony can wake up and open its eyes and make the sofftware for mac and pc users. (that will really bring up sales)

PS3 Essential
Amazing, I have chatted online with my PS3 with my cousins in Pennsylvania from Texas. I love this product, no battery, high res, good design, and even a free PSN game "Eyecreate" to have some fun with it. For only $40 it's a steal, with a Bluetooth at $50 and a built in mic to chat and the Playstation move compatibility this product is amazing. Great job sony!! Now try an HD camera!

Great accessory for the ps3
This is a must have for any ps3 user. You can take pictures and edit videos with Eyecreate and save them to the ps3. You can also use it as a hands free microphone.

Don't hesitate, just buy one.
I wanted this for a long time before I got it. At first I thought it was too expensive, and overpriced. I couldn't have been more wrong. The eye let's you use the software "eyecreate" which, although not the best, is a fun and interesting video editor. Video chats just wouldn't be the same without videos. The zoom function allows you to zoom in and out. LED lights let you know when the camera is properly connected, and in use. The built in microphone isn't as good as the official headset, but if your conversational partner(s) don't mind the echo, it'll do beautifully. The stand on the bottom of the camera works surprisingly well, the camera can stand balanced, and safe, on almost any TV. When playing a game or software no delay is noticeable, or significant. The only improvement I'd make, is a longer USB cord. The USB cord is attached to the camera, and cannot be changed, depending on the placement of your TV you may find it difficult to place it center on top (like everyone else does), but, it can easily be placed anywhere else, and still work well. The eye works much better than any webcam I've ever seen.
