DO NOT Buy!! Every good company is entitled to one lemon. This is it for Sony. An absolutely trash machine. I paid $55 for it; now it's dreadfully overpriced at $39. The controls are idiotic, complicated, impossible to find, such as the volume wheel, ingeniously buried on the near backside of the machine. The volume is so bad, won't even fill a small room, probably saved money by not building in a pre-amp. But worst of all, I bought it to play cds in the bedroom, and to wake up to them. It totally, repeat, totally fails on all accounts. The cd drive is so cheap it began to fail within weeks. Sound is intermittent, even after cleaning the lens. Now doesn't work at all. This is a really really BAD product! July 13, 2012
What were they thinking? I was looking for a CD clock radio, and this was the only one in several electronics stores. If I had known how very soft the alarm buzzer is, I would not have bought it. That said, the unit plays our CDs, and the numbers are large enough to see across the room. I would give it an "OK" rating. June 28, 2012
This is not an MP3 player BEWARE !!!!!!!!!! I bought this as a gift to my mom and apparently this is not an MP3 player although the title says so. I has an Audio Jack to connect to an MP3 player. I can use the same to connect to a WMA player do want to put that as well on the title. I wonder how can SONY list Audio jack as MP3 player on the title of the product. Worst they dont pay for return shipping. So now my mom has to get a cab to go to the USPS and ship it back and they are not even sorry about what happened. December 5, 2011
No battery backup If the power goes out for half a second all clock/ alarm times are lost and no wake up. I can't believe Sony would have such an oversight on an alarm radio. Unexceptable!!!! October 12, 2011
